Clients often ask us to include plants into their designs that are suitable for cutting and enjoying indoors. January and February host many lovely winter flowering shrubs, perennials and bulbs to brighten up our gardens - I have picked a few star performers that can be displayed indoors as well as outdoors.

I am lucky enough to have Polesden Lacey as my local National Trust property and there’s always plenty to enjoy on a bright winter’s day. The low sun casts long shadows, showing off the bare, leafless trees to stunning effect.
